MS Dhoni announces retirement from cricket

Under Dhoni’s leadership, Team India won the ODI and T20 World Cups. Dhoni, who had earlier retired from Test cricket, continued as a player in the T20 ODIs and teams. He made a  debut on December 23, 2004, in an ODI against Bangladesh.

MS Dhoni played his last match on 11th July 2019 in the semi-final against New Zealand which eventually was his last game. The irony is that he started his carrer with a run-out in 2004 and also ended his career with a run-out in 2019. He is the only captain to have won all the 3 ICC titles (ICC T20 World Cup, ICC Cricket World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy).
