The ICC has confirmed India to be the host of T20 World Cup 2021. Earlier, this year mega event, scheduled in Australia was cancelled, paving the way for the 2021 T20 World Cup to be hosted by India.

An important meeting of the ICC was held on Friday and some important decisions have been taken regarding ICC T20 World Cups. The T20 World Cup in India is scheduled to take place in 2021. But fans are wondering when exactly the cancelled World Cup in Australia will take place.

The big question before the ICC meeting was whether to host the upcoming World Cup in India or host Australia. It has been officially decided that India will host the 2021 T20 World Cup and the 2023 ODI World Cup. Australia will host the 2022 T20 World Cup. Therefore, India will get a gap of 2 years to host the ICC events which has satisfied the broadcasters too . So now cricket fans will get a chance to watch three World Cups in three consecutive years.

India’s Twenty20 World Cup will be played in 2021. Then in 2022, the Twenty20 World Cup will be played in Australia. After that, the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup will be held in India. India will be playing the T20 world cup in October-November next year. The final will be played on November 14. The 2022 tournament in Australia will also be played in October-November and the final match of the tournament will be played on November 13.
