The 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) will be held in the United Arab Emirates from September 19 to November 10. For this, 8 franchises will arrive in the UAE next week. The franchise and the BCCI will have base camps in Dubai and Abu Dhabi over the next three months. Some of the IPL matches will be played in Sharjah, but none of the franchises have shown interest in staying there.
If you want to stay in the UAE for three months now, you need to provide all the facilities for the players. All the teams will stay in 7 luxury hotels in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and many of them have preferred hotels with beaches. Oberoi in Dubai is the official hotel for the BCCI.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are second homes for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. It is also reported that Shah Rukh has made a big investment in the UAE. So he has booked a luxurious hotel for the Kolkata Knight Riders. The Kolkata team will leave Mumbai for Dubai on August 21.
For Kolkata Knight Riders players, the accommodation has been arranged at Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi in Grand Canal. Featuring a 57-acre garden and swimming pool, the hotel is 20 minutes from the airport.
The Chennai Super Kings, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, will leave for Dubai on August 21. They will be staying at the Taj Dubai hotel. CSK has booked an entire floor of the hotel.
The Royals Challengers Bangalore will stop at Waldorf Astoria in Dubai. Sunrisers Hyderabad will be based at Ritz Carlton in Dubai. Kings XI Punjab will be staying at Sofitel de Palm in Dubai. The Mumbai Indians will be based at St. Regis in Abu Dhabi. This is the property of Marriott Group and this year’s sponsors are Mumbai Indians.
