The big news coming ahead of the IPL Governing Council meeting on Sunday was Indian Cricket Control Board President Sourav Ganguly believes that this time the women’s IPL will also be held in the UAE. The tournament will also be played between the four teams from November 1 to November 10, as last time, before the Indian team had to withdraw from the tri-series in England.

“I can confirm to you that the women’s IPL is very much on and we do have a plan in place for the national team also” – Ganguly told in an interview to PTI.

Australian players might miss the Women’s T20 challenge because they will have the Women’s Big Bash League for October 17 to November 29. The tournament is likely to be played mostly with Indian and Asian players.
