The PSL 2021 kicks off today where defending champions Karachi Kings will be taking on Quetta Gladiators at Karachi National Stadium. The match is scheduled for 7pm local time. This is the first of the 34 matches to be played at Karachi and Lahore venues.
This is the 2nd time, all PSL matches will be played at home. Total of six teams including Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United will vie for the glittering PSL trophy with a cash award of PKR 80 million.

The overseas player contingent feels a lot safer to come over and play in Pakistan, which means that the re-integration is now complete. The return of the crowds to the PSL in the 2021 edition is a huge step-up after the final four league matches in the previous year were played in front of an empty stadium following the Covid-19 outbreak.
